Here is a picture of Baby Jack and me while everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him. He was not sure what was going on. He just smiled, laid his head on my shoulder, and hugged me for the whole song. It was my favorite part of the day.
And last but not least the eating of the cake. We don't let our kids have any cake before they are one so this first piece is such a riot. Jack had no idea what to think about it and was a little upset at first. He got over his concern quickly.
Happy birthday Baby Jack! Mommy and Daddy are so glad that God gave you to us. We love you!

What a cutie!!! Those young birthday pics are always priceless. We have a before/after pic of me at about that age.
Before: I'm nice and clean and happy with a beautiful cake in front of me.
After: I'm covered hear to foot in chocolate and now VERY happy and nothing resembling cake can be seen, although from the mess made it would be hard to discern how much cake was actually consumed- and not just smeared all over my body and high chair.
